This EMN Synthesis Report summarises the main findings of National Reports analysing migration and international protection statistics for the year 2008. It is based on the contribution from twenty-three EMN NCPs from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Slovak Republic, Slovenia,
Sweden and United Kingdom.

Topics covered are Legal Immigration and Integration, Illegal Immigration and Return, Border Control and International Protection, including asylum.
