The seminar on the theme "Migrant and Mobilized" will take place on Friday 4 May from 13h30 to 17h in "La Maison de la Solidarité" (66 rue Coenraets - 1060 Brussels). It focuses a recent issue of the "Cahiers du genre" on the above mentioend topic, as summarized below:
Mobilizations of migrant women are rooted in a long history often made invisible. Today, they take place in associations, union structures, organizations of undocumented persons or the International Labour Office. From a European perspective, this issue explores the claims and characteristics of women who are mobilized. Finally, it proposes a reflection on the process of emancipation.
