OMNIA Annual Policy Conference: Searching for Solidarity in EU Asylum and Borders Policies (2 days)

The Conference offers the opportunity to explore the most important policy developments from 2015 related to (financial, physical and operational) solidarity in EU Asylum and Borders Policies.

What

The Odysseus Academic Network, in cooperation with the Migration Policy Centre and the European University Institute, hold this conference divided in three sessions, respectively focusing on EU Law (the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice), EU Asylum Policy (Relocation & Dublin) and EU agencies (Frontex, EASO, Hotspots). The conference is legally and policy oriented but includes practical aspects. Also sufficient space is left for questions and answers and discussions between the speakers and the audience.

OMNIA stands for Odysseus Monnet Network for Immigration and Asylum. This three-year projects (September 2015 - September 2018), supported by the EU Commission, aims to forge throughout the EU, a community of researchers and professors in the field of immigration and asylum. The project intends to enhance information gathering, learning and exchange of practices in this area. The Annual Policy Conference is one of the activites developed by the project, besides a blog, two online databases and five additional databases, training modules and a collection of papers.
