The MPC's task is to offer an analytical vision on the issues of migration and the role migrants play in the current society, both at local and global levels. The research contributes to the elaboration of EU policy making on immigration .

The center analyses, for example, the importance, once the current financial and employment crisis will be over, of future sustained flows of migrants to maintain EU's competitiveness at a global level.
