On 24 June 2015, the Office of the Commissioner General for Refugees and Stateless Persons (CGRS), the central asylum authority in Belgium, officially launched its new website (www.cgrs.be).

The new website was conceived from the reader’s perspective. Asylum applicants, lawyers, journalists and other interested persons can easily navigate the new website and find the information they need, including on the functioning of the CGRS and the asylum procedure in Belgium. A visual representation of the asylum procedure enables visitors to follow and understand all the steps in this process.

The CGRS, as part of its transparency effort, now also publishes a selection of country reports and policy notes. The new website also provides background information on themes such as gender, internal flight alternative, etc.

For further information, please visit CGRS’ website (available in French, Dutch and English).
